Ibiza is pretty small so you can get from one end to another in only an hour, but it has so many beautiful coves and beaches that it’s hard to get to see everything on such a short trip. This is why we’re sharing with you our guide on what to see in Ibiza in 4 days this summer. Then you’ll get to explore the must-sees on the island and enjoy them during your stay at Ibiza Sun Apartments.

What to see in Ibiza in 4 days: coves, visits and sunsets

If you don’t have time to prepare your trip or read loads of posts on the subject, trust our choice of essential plans and must-sees for your trip to Ibiza from Thursday to Sunday or for any other 3 to 4-day break in Ibiza this summer. This proposal was specially designed for first-timers on the Island so take note and share this post with your travel companions.

Day 1: Playa d’en Bossa and Ibiza port

We don’t know what time you’ll be checking into Ibiza Sun Apartments, but we think the first day is perfect to focus on the city of Ibiza and Playa d’en Bossa, which is the beach next to our suites and one of the most comprehensive holiday villages on the island. Once you’ve checked in, you can go for a refreshing dip in our pool or to the beach, which is only a 3-minute walk from our hotel. This very long beach –the longest on the island– has fabulous beach clubs to chill and extensive music-free areas to sunbathe and relax.

And after the beach, a great evening plan is to visit the old part of the city of Ibiza called Dalt Vila, declared World Heritage site by UNESCO. Full of charming spots and Medieval houses, it’s worth going for a leisurely stroll through its streets towards the cathedral before heading over to walk along the city walls that provide a fantastic view of the coast of Ibiza, the city and the sunset.

For dinner, sit at one of the romantic restaurants in Plaça de Vila or go to La Marina district, with its many restaurants, cafés and pubs. And if you want to keep going well into the night, go to Pacha, Amnesia (on the Ibiza-San Antonio road) or Hï Ibiza (only a 10-minute walk from Ibiza Sun Apartments).

Day 2: southern Ibiza, from east to west

If you want to make the most of your 4 days in Ibiza to explore the island, we suggest you hire a car. On the second day you’ll get to see some of the most famous beaches in Ibiza and you’ll eat a delicious paella by the sea. Your first stop is the unspoilt beach of Ses Salines, known for its crystal-clear waters, the beauty of its setting and its celebrity-spotting beach bars.

The next stop is Cala d´Hort, another beach in Ibiza that’s famous for its view of Es Vedrà islet. There you can pick either El Carmen or Cala d´Hort for a delicious lunch, as both restaurants are well known for their paella. Don’t forget to book several days in advance! And after lunch, relax on this beautiful beach with crystal-clear waters. Near sunset, don’t go too far. You can watch it from the cliff, where the car park is.

Day 3: what to see in Sant Antoni and Sant Josep

West of Ibiza you’ll find four of the most stunning beaches in Ibiza, so you decide if you want to see all four of them or just pick out two and leave the other two for your next trip. The coves you must see on the western coast of Ibiza are: Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta (connecting coves), Cala Bassa, Platges de Comte and Cala Tarida. If you don’t like sunbathing for long, you’ll be able to see all four beaches, but if you’d rather relax and swim without hurries, then we suggest you go to Cala Bassa in the morning, have lunch in Cala Tarida and then go over to Platges de Comte to watch the sunset. Why skip Cala Salada? Well, it is indeed a very beautiful cove, but it barely has any parking space, so traffic is closed off from 10am till 6pm, and you’ll have to take a bus from the Can Coix sports centre in Sant Antoni.

The complete itinerary for your third day in Ibiza would be: Sant Rafel (to see its church and its view of Ibiza), Santa Agnès (to see an old typical village), Sant Antoni de Portmany (to visit its church and promenade), Cala Bassa, Cala Tarida, Platges de Comte and, on the way back, Sant Josep, a quaint village where you’ll find a wide range of bars and restaurants for tapas or dinner.

Day 4: northern Ibiza, the quiet part of the island

The last day in our guide on what to see in Ibiza in 4 days is devoted to the middle and northern part of the island. The first stop will take you to Santa Eulària des Riu, where you must visit the historic buildings of Puig Missa. And after visiting its traditional fortified church, head on to Sant Carles and visit these two beaches: Es Figueral and Aigües Blanques. You’ll love them both! If it’s Sunday, swap the beach for the Sant Joan street market, which is small, charming and cosmopolitan. For lunch, go to Port Balansat restaurant in Port Sant Miquel and order the traditional bullit de peix, one of its specialities consisting of fish stew and fish-based paella.

In the evening, we suggest you stretch out your towel on Cala Benirrás, one of the most breathtaking beaches in Ibiza that you mustn’t miss during your 4-day break in Ibiza. Enjoy its hippy atmosphere, the stunning setting and the sunset. And once the sun’s come down, head over to Santa Gertrudis. In this quaint village in Ibiza, you’ll find the iconic bar that’s become so popular for its Serrano ham baguette sandwiches: Bar Costa.

Things to remember for your 4-day break in Ibiza

Depending on the days of the week you’re here, remember the following to adapt our guide to your tastes:

• Las Dalias street market in Sant Carles is on Saturdays. As well as Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings.
• If you want to go to a party at Ushuaïa Ibiza, remember that it really gets going after 9pm and all events end at midnight.
• If you’re a late riser, choose only the morning or afternoon plan and leave the rest for another time. Both options are good for the afternoon.
• Wednesdays are for the True Hippy Market in Es Canar, the largest flea market in Ibiza.
• If you come over to the island early or leave late, Ibiza Sun Apartments offers to store your luggage and gives you free access to its showers.
